Go Pink!

Last week the Puma store at Union Square hosted the event to support breast cancer research and the famous actress Nina Dobrev was there to meet some lucky fans and raise awareness against breast cancer.
A great cause!

Book signing with Hilary Duff

Okay, I admit, I'm a huge fan of Hilary! The second I heard she was going to be in the city promoting her new book I just couldn't help but be there! She is been such a great role model for girls of all ages, specially in a world where appearance seems to count so much among teenagers and younger girls who take wrong turns in life by copying other's bad attitudes.

Anyway, back to excitment! I was one of the most excited at the book store and security probably got confused with the fact that I was covering the event and then immediately ran to the line to get my book signed and my 30 seconds of happiness with Hilary! Lol! I can't believe she is already married and has baby number one on the way! And she is my age. Well, c'est la vie! God bless you and your beautiful family my dear :) you rock! *.*
Here are some of the pictures!

Fashion Night Out!

"Concrete jungle where dreams are made of...there's nothing you can do...." I LOVE this song. Its so inspiring and whenever Im running out of batteries I start playing my own version of Emprie State of Mind and everything turns out great. I know this should should be almost a month old by now but I was trying to find some time to upload the pictures and finally did! It made me laugh so much, I had such a great time that night with 2 of my best friends and my brother on my first fashion night out! I love NY, love, love, love. And I thought I couldnt love more! Until I saw the huge proportions of that event! 5th avenue couldnt be any fancier!!! All the lights, the models, the stores, the crowd...Sad to admit but it was actually one of the few nights that I was actually out! So worth it! Did you go? What did you think? I clicked some of the moments along with my amazing brother! If you can make it next year, call me!!!

Beyonce's sister. I was obviously, the last one to know who she was....

THIS was the best part of the night! Hahahaha He was sooooo adorable and fun...

Lavagem da rua 46!

The day before Brazilian day is also a day to celebrate! It all begins with music, laughs, costumes, hugs and happiness the day before when the famous "cleansing of 46th street" (lavagem da rua 46) takes place! The lavagem is not lieterally a cleansing! You won't see people sweeping and mopping. It's beyond that and involves tradition and history.

The lavagem group is joined by locals or tourists who can't resist but join the big parade/carnival/party that starts around 44th street and ends at the stage at Madison avenue where the party continues with samba, pagode and lots of fun and good music! Its a big party and when you see all the smiles on people's face you can't help but just want more of this everyday! Brazil is my home country and experiencing moments like this makes me want to be there right away!
So, remember! Next year start the celebration the day before, at the lavagem! You won't regret! Here are some of the moments :)

Brazilian day!

For Those who weren't aware
Of this, let me tell you that this past September 4th, brazil took over times square! That's how we celebrate our independence day in the big apple: celebrating in big (and loud) style!
We have people flying in from all over the country and from abroad to be a part of this huge party!
Concerts, food (brazil is famous for it's delicious food :), merchandise and so much more are some of the attractions that make the Brazilian day such a big event!
I was lucky enough to be a part of this and am happy to share some of the moments with you!
Enjoy :) and I see you next year!
